Meet Our Team

  

Andrew O'Shea

(BVSc MANZCVS (Veterinary behaviour) CMAVA )

Andrew is the owner of Camden Valley Animal Hospitals and one of the longest practicing vets in the area. Having graduated from The University of Sydney in 1989 he established Camden Valley Animal Hospitals soon after. He has a keen interest in Animal Behaviour, completing further study in 2008. He is the immediate past president of the Australian Veterinary Behaviour Interest Group and has organised many Veterinary Behaviour Groups as well as presenting in Australia and overseas. He is also currently serving on the Pet Advisory Board for Camden Council which is aimed at improving the lives of pets in the community and raising awareness of responsible pet ownership. In July 2013 he established the animal behaviour service at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital which has been very successful. He is the proud owner of 2 German Shorthair Pointers, 1 Burmese and 1 very talkative Cockatoo.


Ash Narayan

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Ash is originally from Fiji, he graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002 and has since worked in Fiji and Cairns before moving to the ‘big smoke. He has also completed further study in diagnostic imaging and soft-tissue surgery. He has a soft spot for his little dog lucy, In his spare time he gives in to his travel bug and explores as much as possible.


Lisa Henshaw

(BVSc MANZCVS (Veterinary Behaviour) CMAVA)

We are pleased to announce that Dr Lisa Henshaw BVSc MANZCVS (Veterinary Behaviour) is now working with us at Camden Valley Animal Hospital. Lisa has worked in the Macarthur area since moving here from Melbourne in 2002. She is also an active member of the community, trialing and instructing in dog agility at Wollondilly All Breeds Kennel Club. She has a 17 year old cat, Millie and 3 dogs; Chappie, Tarka and Elsie.  Tarka (pictured with Lisa and Elsie) is a young working Cocker Spaniel about to begin his agility career.

Lisa would like you and your pet to feel comfortable when visiting here, be it for a quick trip or a longer stay in hospital. Lisa is working with the rest of the team to help us become a certified Fear Free Veterinary Hospital, sufficient time, gentle handling techniques and judicious use of medications is used to help your pet if required.

Lisa has attained her membership of the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Behaviour, which means she successfully completed further study and examination in Veterinary Behaviour, so is qualified to provide consultations and treatment for animals with behaviour problems.

 

 


Cindy

Veterinary Practice Manager

Cindy is our Practice Management and has been with us for many years and is a vital part of our team. Cindy ensures the smooth running of the hospital, and the day to day runnings of the clinic, she also does the administrative duties to keep everything on track. Cindy has a keen interest in horses and regularly competes on the weekends with her daughter.


Dana

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Dana completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2014 and has been part of the team since 2011.Dana thrives in surgery and keeping pets safely montiored.  She especially loves all the puppies and kittens that come to visit, and has a passion for helping your four-legged friends to lose weight. She is a proud mum of two Golden Retrievers and Ragdoll cat Loki, whom she spends most of her spare time with.


Sam

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Sam has been with us for 2 years is one of our full time Vet nurses. She enjoys all aspects of her work and has a desire to continue learning more. Sam is very passionate about looking after your pets and making them feel safe and comfortable while they are in hospital or just for general check up. She is also a mum to rabbits.


Alison

Veterinary Nurse (Animal studies cert II
)

Alison work's part time and is currently study her certificate in IV veterinary nursing, she has also has her certifcate III in captive animals. Alison has always had a love for animals and is doing her best to help and keep them safe. Alison also enjoys doing pet minding while their owners are away on holidays.


Jessica

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Jessica is our newest Nurse to our team, and will be running our puppy pre school classes. she has been nursing for 7 years and completed her certificate in veterinary nursing in 2012. She has also completed pet obedience training certificate and basic and advance animal behaviour courses.


Mandy

Groomer

Mandy is our longest serving staff member besides Andrew. She is currently our dog groomer and finds great joy in making your pooches beautiful!
